Onboarding
First Launch
Section titled “First Launch”When you first open Acclo IQ, the app automatically seeds your database with:
- 16 default categories (Restaurants, Groceries, Utilities, etc.)
- 74 subcategories with flow types (expense, income, transfer)
- 560+ merchants with category mappings
- 560+ regex rules for auto-categorization
- Built-in format profiles for major banks
Step-by-Step Setup
Section titled “Step-by-Step Setup”1. Create Your First Account
Section titled “1. Create Your First Account”Navigate to Settings > Accounts and click “Add Account”:
- Name — A label for your account (e.g., “Chase Checking”)
- Account Type — Checking, Savings, Credit Card, Investment, Cash, Loan, or Money Market
- Format Profile — Select your bank’s CSV format (or create a custom one later)
2. Import Transactions
Section titled “2. Import Transactions”Go to the Import page:
- Select the account you just created
- Upload a CSV export from your bank
- The app will parse, deduplicate, and auto-categorize every transaction
- Review the results and confirm the import
3. Review Categories
Section titled “3. Review Categories”Check the Transactions page to see how the rule engine categorized your transactions. If something is miscategorized:
- Click the transaction to open the detail panel
- Change the category/subcategory manually
- Consider creating or updating a rule on the Rules page for future imports
4. Set Up Budgets (Optional)
Section titled “4. Set Up Budgets (Optional)”Go to Budget > Setup to create monthly spending targets by category or subcategory.
Telemetry Choice
Section titled “Telemetry Choice”During onboarding, you’ll see a checkbox for anonymous telemetry. This is:
- Checked by default (opt-out model)
- Anonymous with fresh random IDs per event
- One daily heartbeat with bucketed usage data
- Can be changed anytime in Settings > Privacy
